Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mewsic ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Mewsic mobile application (the "App"). By using Mewsic, you agree to the practices described below.

Using Mewsic without an account

You can use Mewsic's core features — listening to music, playing the rhythm game, and generating AI music — without creating an account. When you use the App as a guest, we still collect a limited amount of information needed for the App to function (described in "Information collected automatically" below), but we do not collect personal information that identifies you by name or email.

Information you provide to us

• Account information. If you choose to sign in, we receive your email address, a unique account identifier, and (depending on the sign-in method) your display name and profile picture. Mewsic supports sign-in with email and password, Google, and Apple. We use this information to save your progress, content, and preferences across devices.
• Profile content. Display name, profile photo, playlists you create, songs you like, artists you follow, and other content you create or save in the App.
• AI prompts. Text prompts you enter when generating AI music or AI lyrics. These prompts are sent to our AI providers (see "Third-party services") to generate the requested content.
• Voice input. If you use the in-app voice-to-text feature for AI prompts, we access your device microphone for the duration of the recording and use Apple's Speech Recognition framework to convert your speech into text. Voice data may be processed by Apple as part of this feature; please refer to Apple's privacy policy for details. We do not store the audio recordings ourselves.
• Photos. If you grant photo library access, we read photos you select to set as profile pictures or playlist covers, and we write share images you choose to save back to your library. We do not access photos you do not select.
• Support communications. Information you send us when contacting support, including your email address and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically

• Device information. Device model, operating system version, language and region settings.
• Approximate location (country only). We determine your country from your IP address using a third-party IP geolocation service so that we can aggregate analytics by region. We do not collect precise location.
• Usage analytics. Events that help us understand how the App is used, such as: app opens, screen views, songs played and skipped, songs liked, search queries, AI generations completed, rhythm-game scores, streak progress, and onboarding steps. These events are linked to your account identifier when signed in, or to an anonymous session identifier when used as a guest.
• Crash and diagnostic logs. Information about app crashes and errors so we can fix them.
• Advertising data. If you allow tracking when prompted (see "Advertising and tracking" below), our advertising partner Google AdMob may receive your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) along with technical information about your device and ad interactions in order to deliver personalized ads.

How we use information

• To provide and personalize the App, including saving your progress, pets, music library, and AI creations.
• To process your AI music and lyrics generation requests.
• To diagnose bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
• To measure feature usage and improve the App.
• To deliver advertising that supports the free version of the App.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To respond to your support requests and communicate with you.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party providers to operate the App. Each provider processes data subject to its own privacy policy.

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and backend functions. Privacy policy
• Suno — AI music generation from text prompts. Privacy policy
• Google AI (Gemini) — AI lyrics generation from text prompts. Privacy policy
• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in with a Google account. Privacy policy
• Sign in with Apple — optional sign-in with an Apple ID. Privacy policy
• Google AdMob — rewarded video advertising. Privacy policy
• ipapi.co — IP-based country geolocation for analytics. Privacy policy

Advertising and tracking

The free version of Mewsic shows optional rewarded video advertisements provided by Google AdMob. The first time you tap to watch a rewarded ad, the App will request your permission to track your activity across other apps and websites, in compliance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

• If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to deliver personalized ads.
• If you do not allow tracking, AdMob will still serve rewarded ads, but they will be non-personalized and based only on contextual information.
• You can change your tracking preference at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Permissions used by the App

• Microphone — for voice-to-text input when generating AI lyrics.
• Speech recognition — to convert voice input into text using Apple's framework.
• Photo library (read) — to let you choose images for profile pictures and playlist covers.
• Photo library (add only) — to save share cards you choose to download.
• App tracking — optional, to enable personalized advertising.

You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Mewsic.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party providers listed above to operate the App, when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mewsic, our users, or others.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time directly in the App via Settings → Account → Delete Account; this permanently removes your account and all associated data. Alternatively, you may email us (see below) and we will delete your data within 7 days of a verified request. Anonymous guest data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.

International users

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where some of our service providers operate. By using Mewsic, you consent to such transfers.

Children's privacy

Mewsic is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for general audiences. The App can be used without creating an account, and we do not require any personal information to enjoy its core features. If a child under 13 chooses to create an account, we ask that a parent or guardian review this Privacy Policy and provide consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at the address below and we will promptly delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal data, and to object to or opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
